The inaugural Kite Park League Sicily | KPL Championship Tour 2023
The KPL Sicily 2023 wrapped up in style with an awards ceremony and closing party hosted by the Duotone Pro Center (DPC). The women’s final, completed the day before, celebrated three exceptional athletes: Lauren Holman (3rd), Karolina Winkowska (2nd), and the champion, Katie Potter. Their skill and elegance in park-riding highlighted the strength and influence of women in the sport. In the men’s division, the finals brought new energy with fresh faces joining veteran talents. Swiss newcomer Maxime Chabloz impressed throughout the week and claimed a spot on the podium, showcasing his diverse skill set. American Xander Raith also made a strong debut, riding through qualifiers and semifinals to earn second place. However, it was Spain’s Noe Font who once again topped the podium, defending his title with unmatched style and consistency. Looking beyond the competition, the KPL announced the Duotone Pro Center Sicily park will remain available with proper authorization, supporting the continued growth of park-riding by giving more riders access to high-level features. Gratitude was extended to sponsors including Duotone, ION, We Ride Local, and others, along with heartfelt thanks to the DPC Sicily staff and the dedicated KPL crew — from judges to media personnel — who ensured the event’s success despite a legal issue that blocked livestreaming. Thanks to their efforts, the competition was still documented with exceptional quality. And with that, the first KPL Sicily has officially come to a close — memories made, victories celebrated, and the stage now set for the next chapter in August's Team Battle. Until then, the message is clear: stay humble, stay authentic, and keep riding.
